Study Abroad with Flagler

Study Abroad General Pic

The Flagler College International Center oversees all off-campus programs including both international and domestic destinations.

Why Study Abroad?

Studying abroad is not only an adventure, but also an investment in your future. It allows you to better understand the world around you and to develop intercultural competencies that will help you to function effectively in different contexts.  Employers want the skills study abroad provides: cross-cultural competence, language ability, ability to deal with people of diverse backgrounds, and flexibility in dealing with new situations.  And research shows that students who studied abroad end up with higher salaries than those who did not.

As a Flagler Saint, there are hundreds study abroad program options available to you. The three general categories of study abroad at Flagler are:

Faculty-Led

Faculty-Led programs are typically between 2-6 weeks and usually take place in J-term, Maymester or summer. This is your chance to travel with Flagler faculty for a more personal study abroad experience. This also includes FlagSHIP travel programs.

Exchange

Flagler College has a growing number of exciting exchange partnerships with universities around the world. We currently have partnerships with 11 schools. These partnerships allow you to continue to pay Flagler tuition, but study in another country for a semester or year. You can search our exchange opportunities here.

Independent

If none of Flagler's direct program options are the right fit for you, you can search through our pre-vetted partners for the program you are looking for.

Use our Program Search tool to find the right option for you. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
